Level Three workbooks are primarily designed for kids who can write but have difficulty working out what to do by themselves. Kids can just focus on the Maths, as they don’t need to worry about the spelling or clutter on the page.

Kids learn about dollars and cents, decimal places and dollar signs.     The real life skill of matching money to a product is then practiced.  Difficulty level varies between sorting out all the coins and gets harder where kids need to know the difference between 1¢, 10¢, $10 and $100.   

The matching activities on each worksheet are designed around drawing a line to match with the money and word or number. Kids also can write the answer in the spaces provided; spelling is taken care of with the correct answers listed at the top of the page for kids to copy. Having the answer on the page promotes confidence for kids who get overloaded, and allows them to focus on the academic concepts being taught rather than worrying about spelling at the same time. It allows kids to access part of the school Maths curriculum that they previously wouldn’t have been able to. Works well for kids in mainstream classrooms, where they find it difficult to keep up with the pace of their peers. Level 3 workbooks reduce the demands of the worksheet to a point where the kids can be successful.
