Download & Print Building Blocks 1 workbook with Boardmaker™ PCS. Designed to teach kids to pay greater visual attention to detail, so that they dont miss out on important instructions during tasks. Kids build patterns using regular fit together building blocks, with designs that increase in complexity.

These visual templates are designed to be used with regular building block brands such as Duplo® and Lego®. Most kids can build a tower or stack blocks where ever there is a whole on the base board. Moving on to building a recognizable object is difficult and the stage where most kids get stuck.

Building Blocks 1 is a workbook designed to teach the skills of 'noticing' - such as what color is being used, where the block is positioned and how many you need. The patterns in this workbook are simple and are designed to be a platform from which to teach more complex skills. The workbooks are designed to allow kids to literally build on top of the page - so that it is easy for them to see what comes next.

The skills practiced in this workbook can be used to support greater attention to detail during other activities such as drawing where kids need to notice where the arms and legs are positioned.

These activities work best in a 1:1 structured learning environment due to the type of skills being practiced, but can be used in pre-school or early learning group activities.
