Description

Download & Print this Maths Kit containing 2 workbooks (Australian Cents, Australian Dollars) complete with Boardmaker™ PCS that teaches kids how to count money using the rhythm of number patterns. Level Two workbooks are primarily designed for kids with limited pencil skills who can trace, use a dot marker or colour the answer.

Kids start learning the number patterns by tracing through simple dot-to-dots. This then progresses to colouring or using the dot marker to count out the number pattern on coins. E.g. 10¢ 20¢ 30¢ 40¢. Visual cues are provided to start, but are then faded as kids become more confident in the sequencing and planning needed.

In a classroom teachers can choose which type of fine motor skill works best for individual kids i.e. dot marker, drawing a circle or colouring. This allows teachers to meet the demands of a range of learning skills within their classrooms.

This Kit has been great for kids who become overloaded with activities that require any writing. It is common for kids who have poor self-confidence and planning skills to become anxious with the multi-tasking required when you need to not only work out the answer but also then write it down. Level 2 workbooks take out the writing component leaving kids to focus only on the academic concepts. Kids often benefit from doing Level 2 workbooks prior to completing Level 3, as it promotes confidence and allows your child to access part of the school Math curriculum that they previously wouldn’t have been able to.
