Description

Download & Print an adapted transport storybook complete with Boardmaker™ PCS. It contains 3 separate stories about a Bus, a Tractor and a Fire Engine. Add it to your bedtime reading list and enjoy the creativity that comes from combining reading and drawing. It contains step-by-step instructions to show you what to do. As kids become confident with the predictability of the stories they can start to help by drawing on details such as the circles for the wheels of the bus, lines for the ladder of the Fire Engine.

These stories are great for children who are just learning to draw simple shapes or who have a strong dislike or refusal to do anything that involves drawing. For kids whose drawings lack detail, the story template helps them create recognizable pictures, which promotes confidence.

Draw-a-tale stories are also great to use in a classroom or group situation. Kids can add missing details to the story on their own copy as the teacher reads the story or they can take turns coming up to the easel to add missing parts. Used in this way it helps promote attention and ability to remain within the group during circle time. Kids often find it difficult to remain seated during circle time stories because they are required to sit still and listen. Draw-a-tale stories are interactive and help keep kids actively engaged.

Stories are kept short to increase attention to detail and support planning skills. Each of the 3 stories contains 6 printable pages for use over and over again. Plus there are additional printable pages to support parent and teacher instruction. A must for pre-schools and early learners.
